The Zanu-PF Politburo meets in Harare tomorrow amid reports that discussions will centre on the economy and issues affecting the party. Zanu-PF Secretary for Administration Cde Ignatius Chombo confirmed the development last night. “The Politburo is meeting on Thursday at the same time (10am) and at the same venue,” he said. “We are working on the agenda and we urge members to attend on time.”

During the last Politburo meeting, national political commissar Cde Saviour Kasukuwere was tasked to visit the Midlands province and bring peace in the area following chaos that saw provincial members holding parallel meetings.

The revolutionary party resolved that all the matters in the province should come to the National Disciplinary Committee after thorough investigations.

Cde Kasukuwere has since complied with the order as he visited the province two weeks ago and lifted all the suspensions on provincial members who were kicked out of the party through unprocedural votes of no confidence.
