Thomas was part of the Conference of Heads in Independent Schools of Zimbabwe select team that took part at the invitational tournament where they played three games.

The tour to Zambia marked the first time that the CHISZ team was playing as a team after their selection.
After kicking off to a good start where they played against the Zambia select- government schools and won 4-0, they then drew 2-2 in the then lost 3-1 in the last game.

The team returned on Tuesday evening and team Shingai Pasipanodya said that they started off well but ended up missing too many goal scoring opportunities.

”We began our campaign very well and won 4-0 against the government school Zambian select team but in our other two games with the private schools select we failed to maximize on a lot of goal scoring opportunities and we ended up losing ,” he said .

Pasipanodya also said that the team was at a disadvantage owing to the fact that they were playing on foreign soil and the grounds they were using were very small.
