The Nigeria super pop twins, Paul and Peter Okoye better known as P- Square have just written their own piece history in the annals of music. The award-winning duo is the first African artiste to have over 30 million YouTube views for a video, in this case being the video released on June 21, 2013 for their smash hit, “Personally”.

At the time of filing this report, the video currently has 30 046 367 views and still counting. While music video from Nigerian artistes like Olamide’s “Eleda Mi”, The Mavins “Dorobucci” and others have just hit the one million mark, P-Square is so far ahead of the game. The video was shot and directed by Jude Engees Okoye, the elder brother of the twins and it was a song done to honour the memory of the late pop icon and idol of the twins, Michael Jackson who passed on at the age of 51 on June 25, 2009.

Peter Okoye broke the news early this week on Instagram saying: “Congrats super Fans!!! Personally video just hit 30 million views on YouTube, and still counting … Making it the highest (most viewed) video coming from Africa #record-breaking.” – MTVBase/NET.
