Zanu-PF supporters in Mazowe Central National Assembly constituency have been applauded for voting resoundingly for the party in the just-ended harmonised elections.Sport, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister and National Assembly member for the constituency Cde Tabeth Kanengoni said the victory clearly indicates that Zanu-PF is a people’s party trusted by the majority of Zimbabweans.

She made the remarks while addressing thousands of Zanu-PF supporters at the Mazowe Central celebrations held last Friday at Nzvimbo High School.

“Our resounding victory is a clear indication which shows that we are a people’s party and our power and strength lies in our people.
“Zanu-PF is you the people. Without you, the party will not survive.

The nation voted resoundingly for Zanu-PF because everyone is satisfied with the party’s policies which cater for empowering the black majority and making sure that we become masters of our own destiny,” she said.

She thanked her supporters who voted for her saying without their support the seat would have remained in the hands of MDC-T.
“Allow me this opportunity to thank you all people of Mazowe Central for making sure that we reclaimed the seat that we once lost to MDC-T. Without your support, I could not have single-handedly reclaimed this seat to Zanu-PF, “Deputy Minister Kanengoni said.

The celebrations turned into a dance fiesta when Suluman Chimbetu and the Orchestra Dendera Kings got on the stage belting hit songs such as “Sean Timba” and “Kwedu” which were received with massive cheers.

Final Warning crew also gave a splendid performance especially when they played their most popular songs “Yahwina Zanu” and “Copacabana”.

Among the guests who attended the celebrations were Justice and Legal Affairs Deputy Minister who is also MP for Mazowe South, Cde Fortune Chasi, MP for Mazowe North constituency Cde Edgar Chidavaenzi, Bindura North constituency MP Cde Kenneth Musanhi and Cde Remigious Matangira MP for Bindura South.
