Government has moved and staggered pay dates for all pensioners for this month from last Thursday (July 30 2015) to August 7 and 13. In a statement yesterday, Public Service Commission Secretary Mrs Pretty Sunguro said, “The Public Service Commission wishes to advise that the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development has staggered pensioners’ pay dates as from the 7th to 13th of August.”

“All war veterans, war veterans’ spouses and children’s’ pension, ex-political prisoners, detainees and restrictees’ spouse and children’s pension and national heroes’ spouses and children’s pension will be paid on Friday, August 7.”

Mrs Sunguro stated that the rest of the pensioners will be paid on Thursday, August 13.

She said any inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.

Pensioners usually receive their monthly salaries around the 28th of each month and have been recently pushed between the 5th and 10th of the month.
