Patience, a sales executive and travel consultant by profession, brings an eloquent style of news presenting to the talk radio station.

A well-travelled Zimbabwean, Patience had never been on radio till now.

“Capitalk News and Current affairs offers a new format to documenting the Hararian experience. My mandate is to make Capitalk 100.4FM the station of choice for News and Current Affairs AND to take news reading in this country to another level.”

How did you first get into the media industry?

As a Producer/ Presenter in the News and Current Affairs Department for Capitalk 100.4FM

What would you say most motivates you to do what you do?

Change and the challenge of starting or learning something new

What attracted you to work for Capitalk FM?

I have always wanted to be on radio and when the opportunity came to be part of this fresh, vibrant Radio Station – I saw it as a platform for me to show my capabilities and skills as well as impart and share my knowledge with the nation. After all we are here to inform, to educate and to entertain!

Do you have any key mentors or people who influenced who you are, what you believe in and what you’re committed to in your work and life?

There have been quite a few inspirational people in my life who I am very grateful to who have helped in moulding me into the person I am today. In broadcasting though I have to say Alyson Chavunduka – Pioneer female in broadcasting who attained regional acclaim

What sets you apart from other people in the media industry?

My command and diction of the English Language, and might I add that I am a proud Zezuru

What things do you not like to do?

If waiting can be called a thing – I don’t like waiting for anything or anyone I guess that’s because I am a very punctual person. Don’t get me wrong, I am very well named

If you could speak to yourself as a 10-year-old , what would you tell yourself?

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest achievement.

What is your proudest achievement to date?

Coming back home to my children, after living abroad for so many years.

What do you work towards in your free time?

Tending to my plants in my beautiful home garden, I also enjoy baking.
