Star FM presenter Pathisani Sibanda’s birthday celebrations held at City Sports Bar last Friday were a mixed bag of excitement and surprises.

Sibanda celebrated with hundreds of music lovers and several musicians.

Ricky Fire surprised many music lovers when he appeared at the show.

He was not on the line-up of artistes who were billed to perform at the how.

The “Fire President” as the musician is fondly known, belted out some of his hit songs such as “Kana Uchitamba” and “Kumba Kunouya Kuno” among others.

Jah Prayzah also made a surprise appearance and left fans asking for more.

He did vocals to a background track of his song “Chinamira” and for the few minutes he was on stage fans went wild.

He said he was inspired by the spirit of the musicians to unite for such celebrations.

Guspy Warrior could not turn up for the show and efforts to get comment from the “Seunononga” song maker were unsuccessful.

Away from the surprises, several musicians managed to give fans their best.

Mostaff, Gerry B and Freeman were among musicians who thrilled the fans.

Seh Calaz was one of the favourite artistes of the night as he chanted most of his hit songs.

Fans could not get enough of him.

Killer T — who was the last musician to perform — left lasting memories.

His album has gained ground as evidenced by the response of the fans.

Music lovers were singing along to some of the songs including “Kufarawo”, “Ita Ndione” and “Usamanikidze Rudo”.

Promoter of the show Biggie Chinoperekwei hailed music lovers for being peaceful.

“It is encouraging to see that dancehall fans are now mature. It is now up to the artistes to keep on encouraging that environment with their lyrics and relationships,” he said.

Sibanda thanked the musicians, fans and Star FM team for their love.
