Mt Pleasant National Assembly representative Cde Jaison Passade (zanu-pf) has said youths must take advantage of Government’s empowerment policies. Cde Passade said this last week at a party he hosted for youths in his constituency to mark the country’s 34th Independence anniversary.
“Zimbabwe is blessed with abundant natural resources and the youths should take advantage of the various programmes that have been initiated by Government to empower themselves and develop the country,” he said.

“This year’s Independence comes at a time when Government has adopted the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation, which is aimed at reviving the economy.”

Cde Passade said Zimbabweans should be self-reliant to fight illegal Western sanctions.

“Experiences in the past 14 years have shown that we should not be reliant on outsiders but ourselves,” he said.

“The West imposed the illegal sanctions on us hoping that the economic difficulties would cause people to turn against President Mugabe and ZANU-PF.
