Renowned Afro-jazz Pah Chihera and dancehall musician Tocky Vibes are expected to ignite Beitbridge when they perform at the official opening of Pagomba Cafe tomorrow night.

The duo will be supported by upcoming artists from the border town. It will be Pah Chihera’s first time for to perform in Beitbridge since her rise into stardom last year.

Show organiser, Lovemore Chonzi said yesterday that all was set and that they were ready to roll. Chonzi was also the General Manger of Pagomba cafe which was closed late last year when its owner Emus Madhabu decided to pursue other business interests. The joint is expected to open doors under new management and has a carrying capacity of around 3 000 people.

“We are expecting a full house and we are calling on people to attend the ceremony in their numbers.

There will be a lot of entertaining activities lined up for our loyal clients. We have done everything necessary in terms of ground work and are hopeful that this will be a memorable event” said Chonzi.

He said there will be tight security for the revellers and their vehicles. Chonzi said the artistes will perform from Saturday until the next morning. “We have lined up a lot of entertainment up to the Easter Holidays.

“Furthermore, we are going to be introducing new services at the Cafe which include; an executive bar, talk shows, a car wash, deliveries for meals within a radius of 20km, ladies’ nights on Thursdays and more pool tournaments among others” he said.

He said Pagomba Cafe was also open for other social events such as parties, musical shows and wedding ceremonies. In an interview yesterday “Runonzi Rudo” hit-maker, Pah Chihera promised her fans some fireworks.

“I am fully prepared for this show and I want to guarantee my fans that they should expect a top of the shelf performance.
