Chida Mudadi
Congratulations, Makorokoto, Amhlope on winning the July 31, 2013 harmonised elections. Zimbabweans spoke loudly, clearly and boldly during the July 31 harmonised elections. On behalf of the majority of Zimbabweans who participated during the election victory thank you for the confidence you showed in the visionary leadership of President Mugabe and his party Zanu-PF.

Dearest President, this election victory presented an opportunity to solidify Zanu-PF’s political position in Zimbabwe as well as marking the demise of the Western initiated and sponsored MDC-T.

With the two thirds majority in Parliament we can freely amend the Constitution if need be in order to indigenise, empower, develop and create employment in our economy. This election victory is pivotal in the history of Zimbabwe except those who think Zimbabwe can be a colony again.

Above all the victory carried a vital lesson; it showed that the upholding of revolutionary principles and good leadership has no age or tenure.
The elections are over and that historic chapter is closed and it is now time to move ahead. Zimbabweans are moving on and they have so much hope for the future they guaranteed by voting out the MDC formations. Zanu-PF has the destiny in its hands, in its current form; the MDC-T should never be allowed to pollute the country’s development agenda.

This can only be achieved by paying back the faith of the electorate. Defeat was inevitable, but MDC-T thought otherwise and after the announcement, in fact, during voting after realising that the tide was turning against him, Mr Tsvangirai started his antics of elections being rigged, flawed voters roll, intimidation by the army which never existed during elections etc.

The MDC-T has to re-invent itself and this may be impossible considering the nature of its leadership which listens for instructions from Western masters. Get me right there is going to be a split within MDC-T before the next elections. There are a lot of pointers to my assertion namely, Mr Tsvangirai shall order chosen legislators not to join Parliament and they will refuse thus marking the split, his term (Tsvangirai) of office at party level has expired and there are some elements within the party who feel that their leader is not equipped to lead them.

With the above shortcomings it is up to Zanu-PF to maximise and deliver in order to win the hearts of the people once and for all. Among some of the deliverables Zanu-PF must achieve, are the core pillars espoused in their manifesto.

Failure to deliver will result in the ghost that haunted MDC-T, haunting our beloved Zanu-PF. The electorate is now enlightened and works on deliverables; it is no longer a question of which party one comes from. The results of the 2013 harmonised elections speak for themselves. People voted for you and your party because it has deliverables on the ground for all to see. Zanu-PF has farms and implements on the ground, and has embarked on the ambitious indigenisation programme.

In fact people re-elected you into power in order to complete the economic war — our war as the young generation is that of economic emancipation. The country should exploit the silent revolution that is raging in our land — the brain gain. Use these young sharp minds that have come back after more than a decade of living, working, learning in far off lands. They should be called in to advice on the path to sustainable development. We need multi-disciplinary approaches to tackle all our challenges because we need everyone to participate if we are to build.

Thank you your Excellency, for showing political genius in accepting to work with the MDC formations in the inclusive Government since that presented an opportunity for Zimbabweans to see that MDC-T izizi risinanyanga. In retrospect, agreeing to work with the MDC in the inclusive Government was a master-stroke. While in the inclusive Government, Zanu-PF carried out an introspection exercise and stood firm on its policies of indigenisation, empowerment, development and employment creation and came back a revamped party.

Zimbabweans have shown confidence in you and Zanu-PF and it is time for the revolutionary party to deliver and fulfil the promises well pronounced in the party’s manifesto. On a comparative basis, a level headed person would not buy into the manifesto of MDC-T. The MDC-T party showed that it had not been able to mutate from a political pressure group into a full and nationalist local party. During election campaign meetings, while President was talking of indigenisation, Mr Tsvangirai was talking of looking for friends from the West with financial muscle to assist him when elected.

It is also time to solidify all the structures of the party namely, cell, branch, district or province because that’s where the party’s power emanates. Adopt community participatory approaches, let the people develop organically. Mr President, it is time that the bug called corruption is buried six feet. Weed out ministers, civil servants, the police, party leadership and all service providers with corrupt tendencies and follow up on the one man one farm you envisaged.

Thank you President for preaching the gospel of peace throughout your star rallies and the opposition also need to be applauded for doing the same.

The Western sponsored media that had come with a pre-conceived idea of a violent poll ate a humble pie as there was no violence to write about. However, despite the freeness, fairness and peacefulness of the voting exercise during the harmonised elections on July 31, 2013, Mr Tsvangirai described the outcome as a farce. Can someone tell Mr Tsvangirai that his party basked in the glory of the Inclusive Government and did not do its homework. In fact in any game there are three outcomes, win, lose and draw and the MDC-T lost.

Mr President one party state system is attainable by your commitment to drive the will of the people through democratic representation. Fulfil what you promised in your party manifesto and star rallies and you have five years to do so, the outcome will be a clean sweep for Zanu-PF in the next election. Doing things right will see attainment of a one party state. A look at the harmonised election results point to that, Zanu-PF amassed all seats in Mashonaland Central and East, Matabeleland South and Masvingo, Mashonaland West lost one out of 21, Midlands lost three out of 25, Manicaland lost four out of 22, Matabeleland North lost six out of 13, Bulawayo lost all seats and Harare lost 23 out of 29. Given the statistics above hard work would see the party sweeping all the seats in the next election.

Zimbabweans showed the whole world that they are masters of their destiny by voting for Zanu-PF a party with locally brewed policies. We all want to be an employer that’s why we voted for you.

Its game on Mr President, our party is used to celebrations since 1980 we have been celebrating various victories locally and internationally.
Makorokoto lets fully Indigenise, Empower, Develop and Create Employment NOW.
