The Zimbabwe National Printing and Packaging Company, Natprint; a business unit under fully integrated media house Zimbabwe Newspapers (1980) Ltd is keeping abreast with technological advancements and digitalization by constantly investing in the latest equipment and machinery to keep the business competitive.

Speaking after receiving new technology for plate making yesterday; Natprint General Manager, Mr Njabulo Nkomo said while some businesses have fallen by the wayside for failing to keep up with technological advancements, Natprint had decided to take advantage of digitalization by embracing the changes it has brought with it.

“Digitalization does not mean you have to watch while you become irrelevant. It does not mean there is no more room for businesses that have been around for a long time. It simply means new equipment and opportunities have become available on the market. We have decided to embrace digitalization by procuring the latest equipment; in this case a new plate making machine,” he said.

The CTP machine; said Mr Nkomo is the latest of its kind and would improve on efficiency, precision and reliability. This would also ensure that in all its work; Natprint would produce the best quality for its customers.

This latest delivery of new equipment comes hard on the heels of the delivery of a new guillotine machine to Natprint.

Zimpapers Public Relations and Corporate Affairs Manager, Beatrice Tonhodzayi said this latest acquisition is in line with Zimpapers’ thrust to continuously innovate and adapt to the changing technological terrain businesses are operating in.

She said recapitalization is one of the critical strategies that the corporate will continue to invest in as it pursues further growth and expansion.
