JOHANNESBURG. — Knowledge Musona’s agent says a return to South African soccer giants Kaizer Chiefs for the Zimbabwean striker is not cut and dried and that the move “remains in the balance”.
It has been reported that the Amakhosi are negotiating another deal for the Zimbabwean international and that he could return to Naturena for a third time before the end of the week.

But Mike Makaab says there is still another offer — not from South Africa — that his German club Hoffenheim is considering.
“I would still say that there is a 50-50 chance of Knowledge coming back to Chiefs. At the moment there is another overseas offer that is being considered, but we should have more clarity by the end of the week,” Makaab said.

Musona spent last week training with La Liga side Granada’s reserve team as he looks to build up his fitness, and is now back at Hoffenheim awaiting clarity on his next move.

Laduma had earlier reported yesterday that Kaizer Chiefs looked almost certain to finalise the one-year loan deal of Musona in the next 24 hours, with the involved parties discussing personal terms at this very moment.

It was reported on Monday that, according to Kicker in Germany, Musona was set to re-join the Amakhosi on loan for his third stint at the club.
Now, however, the deal seems to have taken a further positive step and appears to be imminent, with just personal terms to be ironed out before the one-year loan is finalised.

The news will be music to the ears of Amakhosi fans, who have long been hoping for the third coming of the Zimbabwean, and it now appears that they will get their wish, with the club expected to announce his return in the coming days, according to Laduma.

Musona had been expected to remain in Europe following the end of his successful loan spell last season, though an untimely injury for the forward made life difficult for him with regards to finding a new club there.
