Gospel musicians Alpha Ngonie and Mai Mbiro will headline Rainbow Ministry Thanksgiving Day to be held in Warren Park on Sunday.

Alpha Ngonie, is known for his hit song “Toimbira Mwari Wekudenga’’ while Mai Mbiro, an upcoming musicians, did “Pane Aripo” that proved popular with many gospel music followers.

The Thanksgiving Day has been held for the past three years and graced by various artistes.

Alpha Ngonie and Mai Mbiro backed by the Rainbow Ministries Choir has nurtured a number of new gospel artistes. Rainbow Ministries leader Apostle Makios Phiri said the church was pleased to host the gospel musicians at the event that has attracted many followers over the past years.

“Thanksgiving is an act of thanking God at the end of each year for what he has done in our lives.

“It can be monetary or even just in the form of produce or what we sell. This is usually done in a church set up were the gifts we give are used in the work of the Lord,” he said.

“We work with various musicians every year so that they come and minister through songs and help us praise and worship the Lord.

“We would like to thank God for His sustenance through out the year. We would also like to thank Him for growth in resources as we managed to acquire a ministry dwelling in Warren Park.

“We would also like to thank God for growth in resources and the number of ministry centres. God enabled us to open more centres in Zimbabwe and even beyond borders.”

Rainbow Ministries has centres in Harare, Chitungwiza, Mutare, Gweru, Norton and Mt Darwin among other areas.

The ministry has also spread to Mozambique, Malawi and South Africa.
