Emmanuel Mwale

Former musician Emmanuel Mwale, who is the son to Archbishop Mwale of Unity Apostolic Church International, has traded his microphone for the cloth and is now a certified prophet. Mwale is well known by many as a jazz artiste who specialised in the keyboard which saw him making a number of collaborations with Lady Thanda and playing alongside reggae icon Trevor Hall.

He is also the founder of Smiley Murray Designs and Car Sales, but has said God’s calling for him to become a prophet was something inevitable as both of his parents are church leaders.

“I know that many people label the current generation of prophets as bogus and mere spiritualist trying to double-cross innocent people looking for deliverance and so on, but that is totally imaginary.

“Honestly speaking, people should understand that being a prophet is not by choice but God’s calling and when one gets that inspiration to be God’s servant from the Holy spirit, he or she automatically translates from being an ordinary believer to become a deliverer,” he said.

The 28-year old former Churchill High School student is currently holding various crusades across the country and has said his main mission is to cleanse demon-afflicted people. The former keyboard specialist indicated that although he no longer concentrates on making his own music, he is still involved in the industry through uplifting musically talented youths from his church.

“I organised the establishment of the UACI youth choir as I have noticed that we have scores of talented young musicians who need to be groomed and uplifted because music is the secret key to unlock a person’s inner self. “The youth choir already has 5 albums and are expecting to release another one by the end of this year” he said.
