Music lovers in the capital and areas around are spoilt for choice this weekend as several musicians have lined up shows.

Places like Mbare, Budiriro and Snake Park will be hive of activities.

Alick Macheso will tonight share stage with Doctor Tawanda for the first time at Ice and Fire Pamuzinda. Doctor Tawanda remixed most of the “Madhawu” hit-maker’s songs before their relationship turned sour in 2012.

Macheso stopped the “Unconquerable” song-maker from doing another album saying he had not sought permission from him. But it looks like the two have since mended bridges. Show organisers said they were looking forward to a good show.

Not far away from Ice and Fire, musician-of-the-moment Jah Prayzah will be sharing stage with Progress Chipfumo at Newlife in Budiriro 2. According to organiser Fidelis Ngove, the show is meant to welcome Jah Prayzah who has been touring the UK.

The musician will proceed to Legends Bar in Marondera where he will be sharing the stage with Josphat Somanje and Jean Masters. Jah Prayzah will be celebrating his 28th birthday at the gig that is expected to attract crowds. Event organiser Daniel Masaiti said there are a number surprises for the musician who is riding high with his latest offering “Jerusarema”.

“Jah Prayzah is from this province and we have seen it proper to celebrate his birthday in the province. I can tell you we have a lot in store for him,” he said.

Dancehall musician Killer T will be performing at Jongwe Corner in Hatfield. It will be a litmus test for the artiste who has recently released his album “Ngoma Ndaimba” to see how he fares in his own right. He has been holding joint shows with several dancehall musicians.

Tonight several dancehall musicians unite for Star FM presenter Pathisani Sibanda at City Sports Bar.

Musicians Killer T, Seh Calaz, Kinna, Freeman and Guspy Warrior will perform at the event.

In Mbare, dancehall musician Kinna on Saturday launches his album “Chakatyokera” at Mbare Netball Complex. The album has nine tracks including “Mudenga kunge Ndege”, “Munzira Yaishe”, “Ndiwe Wandinoda”, “Tova Respector”, “Nhamo” that featured another artist Terminator, “Ndochemera Upenyu”, “Usamake” and “Rudo Rwangu Newe”.

The musician, who came back in the country from UK on Wednesday, said he was optimistic that the album will make an impact.

“A number of dancehall musicians have released their albums and they are all doing well. I am optimistic that ‘Chakatyokera’ will bring not only helpful messages but entertainment,” he said.
