Multi -award winning gospel hip-hop artiste Mudiwa Mtandwa has released a love song called “Shinga” featuring R&B crooner Nox Guni. The song’s lyrics, which were posted on social media over the weekend, received positive criticism as a first from the two musicians from different worlds. Mudiwa, who is back from South Africa for a one-off show at Elshaddai Ministries, Braamfontein, said the song is centred on all Christian couples.

“I believe that as Christians we face a lot of challenges especially in relationships and love but the bottom line is we should be strong and firm on all.
“Again it’s ironic too if you also want to take it another way apart from boy-girl love life but as Christians, the temptations, trials and tribulation we have but all that requires us to be strong,” he said.

He said they had started shooting a video of the song.
“I try to use the opportunity that comes my way thus I was in South Africa for a show and met Nox as we did some shooting on some scenes for the video,” he said.

Nox said was happy working with Mudiwa on this track and promised to do more.
“It’s a great feeling working with him. We have been good friends for over a decade but we had never done a song together.

“The song was produced at Ice n Roses Records by Gt Beats,” he said.
Nox’s manager, Boss Spencer, confirmed the latest development saying the song was done at an appropriate time.

“We are very excited with this project and this collaboration will take us to our vision of conquering Africa and beyond.
“We are in the festive spirit and love conquers it all. I believe that is what Zimbabweans want to hear,” he said.

Both artistes have scaled greater heights as Mudiwa’s song – “Number 1” -has been on first position at Star FM and Power FM chart shows for weeks, while Nox has been doing well on his tours.
