Goromonzi West legislator Cde Beatrice Nyamupinga had her property worth thousands of dollars auctioned yesterday while more will go under the hammer on Saturday for failing to settle a debt owed to a local company.
Cde Nyamupinga had her assortment of furniture auctioned for an undisclosed debt she failed to settle with Backladen Enterprises Private Limited.

According to a notice in the press, the furniture includes a five piece kitchen set, four garden chairs and a television stand sold at an auction after the Sheriff of the High Court attached it under case number HC11991/12.

Cde Nyamupinga’s Jianshe motorbike registration number JS125GY, will also go under the hammer on Saturday at Ruby Auctions under the same case.
Several institutions and business people are losing property on a daily basis for failing to manage their debts.

Suspended ZBC chief executive Mr Happison Muchechetere, had his tractor attached by Chinhoyi Deputy Sheriff while Caps United boss Mr Twine Phiri had an assortment of office furniture auctioned for failure to settle a debt to a marketing firm.

Former Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Governor Dr Gideon Gono, also had his combine harvester attached over an undisclosed amount of money and Marondera businessman, politician and leader of the Johanne Masowe YeChishanu Apostolic sect Cde Lawrence Katsiru, lost farm implements and livestock worth about $100 000 attached by the Deputy Sheriff.
