ZANU-PF Hurungwe West legislator Cde Keith Guzah faces arrest for bashing his girlfriend following a misunderstanding on Thursday. Police sources said the incident happened in Highlands, Harare. The alleged abuse was reported to the police and investigations are underway.

Although details were still sketchy yesterday, it is alleged that Guzah had a misunderstanding with his girlfriend whom he thoroughly assaulted. It is understood the girlfriend sustained serious injuries and reported the matter to the police. This is not the first time Cde Guzah has made news for the wrong reasons. He was in the news in November last year for divorcing his wife of 24 years, Zandile Guzah nee Maseko.

In summons filed at the High Court, Cde Guzah sought a decree of divorce on the basis that the marriage had irretrievably broken down.

In her plea, Zandile accused Cde Guzah of violent conduct, among other misdemeanours.

He was alleged to be violent towards his wife and children.
