Sungura musician Peter Moyo will grace the official opening of Avon Restaurant in Avondale on Friday.

Moyo will stage a show at the place for the first time as patrons are introduced to traditional dishes and other meals offered at the place.

The musician’s manager Sukol Dube said all was set for the show.

“We are happy to be staging a show at the new place. It is a bonus show for our fans in Harare as we celebrate the opening of the new restaurant in the capital,” said Dube. It will be the first time for Peter to perform at the place and they will introduce new songs at the show.

“We are working on a new album to be released soon. The show will be an opportunity for our fans to listen to new songs from the coming album,” he said.

A lot is expected at the show as people will have the chance to have a feel of the new place and the new dishes offered.

Organisers of the event said they decided to have the young musician to introduce their place to the people in Avondale and places around the suburb.

“This place is new and we offer traditional and other meals here. As people enjoy to music they need to see different types of meals we offer here,” said one of the organisers.

Meanwhile, the young musician will share stage with Suluman Chimbetu today at Zebra Village in Mbare.

Both camps promise to give fans their best as they celebrate Africa Day.

Sulu publicist Joe Nyamungoma said the day needed special treatment as it is important to every African.

“Suluman Chimbetu and the whole band are proud to be Africans and we will be having a different playlist for the day as we cherish the important day in our history,” he said.
