Rising Zimdancehall musician Mostaffy Mutiwa, popularly known as Mostaff, is being sued by a woman with whom he sired a child who is claiming $140 towards the upkeep of their minor child.

In her application filed at the Harare Civil Court last Friday, Tafadzwa Pindi claimed the musician was neglecting his child.

“He is not providing towards the welfare of his minor child and he does not buy food, clothes or pay medical bills for her,” reads Pindi’s application.

Pindi claimed Mostaff was a musician and was realising about $300 a month.

He is a musician and earns about $300 per month which means he is able to contribute the $140 for his child’s upkeep, reads Pindi’s application.

Pindi claimed Mostaff was refusing to acquire a birth certificate for their child as he always gives excuses.

The matter is expected to appear before a Harare Civil Court magistrate on July 13.

Mostaff is now the second Zimdancehall artiste to be sued over maintenance this year after his fellow artist Albert Chirozva aka Muffcat was also sued for maintenance last month by his wife Alice Chitombo who was claiming $390 towards the upkeep of their two children.

Magistrate Mr Trevor Nyatsanza ordered Muffcat to pay $80 per month towards the upkeep of his two children.
