Vibrant group Mokoomba will tomorrow hold a farewell gig at the New Ambassador Hotel (Rooftop) ahead of their performance at the Africa Now Concert at Apollo Theatre in New York City which is scheduled for March 26. The farewell gig will feature young talented rising musician Bryan Kadengu who will be the opening act on the much hyped concert.It will kick off at 7.30pm till late. Tickets are going for $5 and are available at the venue where the concert is taking place.

Show organiser for the gig Marcus Gora who is also Mokoomba manager said fans should get ready for a treat as this vibrant group will quench the thirst of their local fans before they go to America for the show.

“This concert is going to be great considering that we have been doing exciting local shows. Fans should expect fireworks as they bid farewell to the group and I am sure that young Bryan will light up the event as well,” Gora said.

In an interview Kadengu said he is looking forward for the show and also added that he is excited and humbled to share the stage with one of the greatest bands in Africa.

“I am looking forward to the and I am so excited to be sharing the stage with one of the greatest bands in Africa, fans should look forward to a night filled with great soul music that will edify their bodies and souls,” Kadengu said.

The group will perform at New York City and this will see them beginning their North American tour. Just like Salif Keita and Youssou N’ Dour, the group is well known for touring in different European countries and is one of the greatest bands in Africa.

Despite the efforts put by Mokoomba on the international scene, some of the local people are still not yet familiar with the group.
