Reigning Miss Zimbabwe Thabiso Phiri is aiming for perfection as she prepares for the Miss World pageant scheduled for December 14 in London, United Kingdom. Addressing journalists on Wednesday, Phiri said she wanted to be in her best form ahead of the pageant. “I am excited about going to Miss World as it is the biggest beauty pageant in the world. I can’t wait to see my competitors face to face and also show the world what Zimbabwe is all about,” he said

Phiri took the time to give details on her preparations and how she is working on her body as well as beauty with a purpose project.
Her project is centred on cancer.

“I am preparing myself both physically and emotionally. I have engaged professionals and Ottis Goredemahas has so far offered $1 600 worth of gym membership,” she said.

She also revealed her prizes that included a brand new Chevrolet Cruz and numerous hampers and cash prizes that she has received.
“I have received the Chevy Cruse, an Ipad mini, $10 000 that is in my account and 2 000 pounds that is part of my pocket money while in the UK,” she said

Other prizes that she said she received include an Astra mobile, fuel from Sakunda Service Station, VIP medical cover for a year, tuition fees for university, cosmetics hamper, closthes and jewelry.

Phiri will leave for London on November 19 and spend three weeks in camp preparing for the event.
Miss World will be held at the largest flexible auditorium in the UK, Exel’s ICC Auditorium.

The official Miss World website has so far been updated with profiles of 2014 contenders (including that of Thabiso Phiri) from around the world.
The website also features the various activities and projects being undertaken by the prospective candidates.
