Preparations for this year’s edition of the prestigious Miss University of Zimbabwe set for tomorrow at the university are at an advantaged stage. One of the event organisers, Kimberly Kujinga said all is set and there are 12 contestants.
“There is high morale in the camp and all is set in place and we have 12 beautiful ladies vying for the special crown.

“We have some sponsors and the winners will walk away with prizes to be revealed on the night,” she said.

As the norm, the ultimate winner will represent the university at national pageants for a year.

Kujinga said as part of their grooming the models visited Liberty Children’s home located in Epworth.

“As part of grooming, the 12 contestants visited the children’s home where they cleaned the premises and played with the kids last week,” she said.

On the night will be chosen four winners, the queen and her two princesses and Miss Personality and all the proceeds will go to Liberty Children’s Home.

Top chanters like Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz and MMT are expected to offer entertainment during the night.

“People will be entertained by Soul Jah Love, Seh Calaz, MMT and other artistes at the university. All of them have confirmed and tickets range from US$3 to US$10,” she said.

The event is being organised by Rotaract Club UZ which is a charity and community service club for people aged between 18 and 30 years.

Last year the pageant was won by the 24- year old beauty Agnes Gava.
