Gospel musician Mathias Mhere will launch his debut live DVD and his new album “Double Double” at Rainbow Towers hotel on February 10. The musician said he was optimistic that the double launch will give music lovers a new dimension of his music.
Songs on the album are “Double Double”, “Makorokoza Muchurch”, “Seri Kweguva”, “Nhau YaNoah”, “Kesari”, “Judas”, “Chanza”, “Nhava Yebenzi”, “Be Still” and “Pharao”.
He is optimistic that the album will take his career to another level.
“We have done our best to give our fans the best and by engaging producer Munya Viya we wanted quality sound as well as changing the music,” he said.
Since breaking the ground on the music scene, the musician has been doing digital recording.
He said they have some songs that were recorded live.
“We have to improve on that and this time we have some songs that have live instruments,” he said.
“Double Double” is a song that tells people that God blesses them in abundance while people who seek God in time of trouble and when they need wealth and abandon him after they get it are blasted in song “Makorokoza Muchurch”.
“Seri Kweguva” is a song that encourages people to believe in God before they die.
“I have done my best on the album. It is now up to people to listen and give their feedback” he said.
For live DVD the musician said he would pick 11 songs from previous albums.
“We have to put 11 songs on the live DVD from our previous albums and will be recorded on the same day,” he said.
To promote his album he has lined up a number of shows across the country.
