METHEMBE Ndlovu is being earmarked to replace Ian Gorowa as Warriors coach who is yet to sign a deal with the Zifa board to guide the Warriors during their 2015 Nations Cup qualifiers.
Sources told The Herald last night that Methembe, who took Highlanders to league championship honours in 2006, emerged as the choice of the Zifa board to replace Gorowa who has seemingly fallen out of favour with some key people in the association.

Zifa has asked Gorowa to sign a deal but the coach has been reluctant to commit pen to paper arguing that he wants to be paid his outstanding salary, for the last five months, and also wants the association to honour the commitments they made to pay the Warriors half of the prize money from the CHAN tournament.

However, some Zifa board members have already activated Option B and that involves bringing in Methembe as head coach.

Former Zimbabwe international forward, Agent Sawu, is scheduled to come in as the assistant coach of the Warriors.

Yesterday, Dynamos assistant coach, Tichaona Diya, was contacted to discuss the possibility of him coming on board as the goalkeepers’ coach of the Warriors in the next coaching set-up.
