As the Nigerians say; “It takes every man to own a car but it takes a gentleman to own a Mercedes,” Such is the nature of the Mercedes brand where it entices the appetite of every gentleman in the society to own one.The new Mercedes C Class Saloon is dynamic and highly motivated. Taking design cues from the iconic S-Class, this Saloon is an aerodynamic masterpiece.

The drive comfort proves equally high-end, thanks to its new suspension technology and the optional innovative damping system.

A wide range of electronic assistants for your convenience and safety prove equally sophisticated.

And when it comes to the power behind this striking Mercedes-Benz, you have a choice of highly responsive and highly co-efficient engines.

It’s hard to find a more invigorating way to get ahead. Brimming with cutting-edge systems and equipment, it includes the intuitive new touch-pad control and agility select, which can let you instantly adapt to the car’s driving characteristics.

Options include the ingenious heads-up display, which makes accessing information at a glance easier than ever.

Exterior styling is muscular and powerful, while the interior features a wealth of high-end materials and finishes to create a refined driving environment. Once you’re behind the wheel, you will not afford to end the journey.

Significantly lighter than its predecessor (100kgs), the new C-Class also offers superb handling and outstanding performance. Engines include the C180, C200 and C250 and future engines for the C Class will include the C300 Petrol and the C250CDI and C350CDI diesel engines.

In terms of design the vehicle is slightly longer and wider than its predecessor; the latest C-Class Saloon has a powerful, imposing on-road presence.

The all new body styling is as dynamic as it is distinctive, from the aggressive front section with two-louvre radiator grille and large air intakes, to the muscular creases along the flanks.

Key design elements include striking new LED high performance headlights (standard on the Sport and AMG Line), which offer wide light distribution, low energy consumption, and a long operating life.

The full LED tail lights (partial LED on the SE model) have also been restyled, and their brightness automatically adjusts to the light conditions to avoid dazzling other road users.

Once inside the new C-Class, you’re immediately struck by the cabin’s luxurious, high-quality feel.

More spacious than the outgoing model, it features premium materials and impeccable finishes throughout – from high gloss black trim to brushed aluminium on the Sport and the AMG Line. All models feature sculpted, highly supportive, and widely adjustable seats in refined ARTICO leather upholstery.

A range of optional upholsteries and trims, including burr walnut, are also available. While the C-Class is designed to appeal, it’s equally constructed to keep you safe.

Take Collision Prevention Assist Plus, for example, which can help prevent an accident by warning if the distance to the car in front suddenly decreases, and increases the brake force if required, or initiates the brakes if there is no driver reaction. The C Class takes over where it’s relevant, so you can focus on what matters most: a thoroughly safe and enjoyable journey.

On technology the vehicle has an integrated into the centre console hand rest of the new C-Class is the all-new touch-pad control.

It offers an incredibly easy, intuitive way to operate the various functions of your Audio 20 or COMAND Online system – whether you’re changing the music or searching for an address. Because it uses an array of movements familiar to any smart-phone user, such as clicks, swipes, and pinch/pull zoom on maps, you’ll master it in no time.

It even recognises “handwritten” entries of telephone numbers, using your finger movements to “write” the numbers. For total convenience and flexibility, the central controller dial is also included – so you can manage your entertainment, communications, and navigation exactly how you want.

The new head-up display puts key driver information right where you want it – so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road, even for a moment. Optional with the Sport and AMG Line, this ingenious system projects a high-resolution colour image that appears directly in the driver’s line of vision.
