The latest Mercedes Benz E-Class Coupé combines beauty and classic virtue of a grand tourer with state of the art technology.

For car fanatics this is a car for you. The Coupé joins an E-Class family of winners such as the world’s most intelligent executive saloon the Estate and the All-Terrain. The new E-Class Coupé, the tenth generation of the business saloon, is striking to look at and exhilarating to drive.

It delivers stylish highlights with its distinct, emotive design and high grade interior. The vehicle also marks the world première of numerous technical innovations. These enable comfortable, safe driving on a new level plus a new dimension in driver assistance – among other things.

All this comes complete with infotainment and control systems offering an all-new experience. A newly developed diesel engine coupled with lightweight design and record-breaking aerodynamics figures, sets the standard for efficiency in this segment, while a new optionally available multi-chamber air suspension ensures outstanding ride comfort and driving dynamics.

The sum total of its innovations, including the Active Lane-change Assistant which allows the driver to steer into the selected lane as if by magic, makes the E-Class the most intelligent saloon in the business class.

The intelligence of the E-Class family circles around full smart-phone integration, Widescreen Cockpit and latest driver assistance systems with an option of automated driving.

The vehicle boasts of a powerful engine with low exhaust emissions and comfortable suspension. “With its clear, aesthetic lines, our new E-Class Coupé appeals equally to heart and mind. It condenses contemporary luxury, agile sportiness and high-tech engineering into an automotive personality with esprit, offering exclusive, refined driving pleasure,” said Dr Thomas Weber board member for Diamler AG.

All-new design elements for the new E-Class include a reworked front section, AMG body styling, and smoother, more rounded surfaces and contours. Inside you’ll find high-quality materials and finishes coupled with generous levels of equipment. It has both petrol and diesel engines well equipped with ECO start/stop and complying with the Euro 6 emissions standard.

Further engine variants and 4MATIC versions will follow. All the models available at market launch are equipped as standard with the 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission, which allows fast gear-shifts along with lower engine speeds.

Naturally, the E-Class Coupé also offers uncompromising safety and it’s practical too with ample space for four adults to travel in comfort and style. The new E-Class is sophisticated, confidently stylish and sporty.

Compared with its predecessor, its wheelbase length has grown by 65 millimetres and its overall length by 43 millimetres. Its design displays hallmark Mercedes-Benz saloon proportions. The elongated bonnet coupled with a coupé-esque roof flowing into a sensual, broad-shouldered tail end creates an exciting silhouette.

The powerfully extended vehicle body is characterised by short overhangs, a long wheelbase, large wheels and taut, well-defined flanks displaying a fresh, stylish and dynamic interpretation of the feature line.

All of which allows the E-Class to deliver the perfect take on the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy: “Sensual Purity”. A powerfully designed front end underscores the status the business-class saloon aspires to, boasting a different look for each design and equipment line.
