Afro Jazz musician Tracy Mbirimi, popularly known as Pah Chihera, is set to perform at Legends Bar in Marondera tomorrow. Since the musician launched her career last year she has not yet performed in Mashonaland East town. In an interview yesterday the song bird said she was happy to take her act to Marondera for the first time.

“We were supposed to perform there in March but then I was in Dubai but this time we will be performing at Legends Bar,” she said.
Pah Chihera rose to fame with her song “Runonzi Rudo” that became an anthem in most public places.

She has been attracting reasonable crowds at her shows.
“The response to my album is overwhelming and I am happy that people are coming to our live performances,” she said.
Show promoter Daniel Masaiti said they were looking forward to a great show at the weekend.

“Our fans were requesting for Pah Chihera shows and we managed to book her for Saturday (tomorrow) so we are looking forward to a great show with her,” he said.

He added that she will be supported by a local mbira group House of Stone.
“We are trying to bring these guys up and they will be part of the performers lined up for the weekend,” he said.

Legends Bar has revived the sleepy town of Marondera and a number of artists have performed at the venue.
Suluman Chimbetu, Jah Prazyah, Douglas Chimbetu and Daina Samkange are some of the artists that have performed at the venue.
