WORLD Boxing Council welterweight silver champion Charles Manyuchi (pictured) says his wish is to fight anyone in the top 10 in his division when he next steps into the ring to defend his title.

Manyuchi became the WBC welterweight silver champion when he beat Russia’s Dmitry Mikhaylenko on May 6 in Yekaterinburg.

The victory powered Manyuchi into fourth spot on the WBC rankings in his weight division.

Manyuchi’s next fight will be to defend his title and he can choose his opponent.

And the 27-year-old said he would go for those in the top 10.

“I will choose someone in the top 10 in my weight division. I think the manager and coach will see how it goes and then we will have the final decision,” said Manyuchi.

“I want to fight the best.

“They (his promoters) are willing to have that fight in Zimbabwe. But I think it’s work in progress, there are negotiations going on so I cannot say much on that.

“It will be good for me to fight in Zimbabwe, it will give people the opportunity to see me fighting.”

He said his next fight will probably be in August.

Some of the fighters in top 10 include Britain’s Amir Khan but he has already indicated that he would challenge for the WBC world welterweight title belt held by American Danny Garcia.

Khan is occupying the top spot.

Most of the top 10 boxers are Americans with Lamont Peterson on second position, followed by fellow countryman Andre Berto.

Errol Spence is fifth.

Russia’s Konstantin Ponomarev is sixth on top 10 list.
