LONDON. — Manchester United’s stars are reportedly becoming bored of Louis Van Gaal’s training methods. Former Old Trafford stars-turned-pundits Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville Rio Ferdinand, Owen Hargreaves and Michael Owen have all taken pot shots at the Dutchman for his possession-based approach. And it appears his training sessions at their Carrington headquarters have also come in for criticism from members of his squad.

A club insider told The Sun: “They are unhappy, it is just like Groundhog Day at the club. No matter whether they win, lose or draw nothing changes. “Every Monday they know what they are doing, every Tuesday they know what they are doing, every day they know what they are doing.

“There is nothing different or exciting to look forward to and it is getting some players down.” Reports emerged last week that Van Gaal sprung on extra training sessions for the players, which was supposedly wreaking havoc for the WAGS’ domestic routines. Van Gaal has come under increasing criticism for the bland football his side have produced this term.

And according to The Sun, his training sessions could have something to do with it. The report suggests that the players aren’t happy with the structure the sessions take. It is thought the squad aren’t happy with the repetitive nature of training, which is in turn thought to be making them glum. — The Daily Express-The Mirror.
