Dotted indigenous and exotic trees sway and sing with the rhythm of the easterly winds as unperturbed birds chat and effortlessly cartwheel from one place to another instinctively driven by the ancient rhythm of life to survive and intermittently breaking into melodious singing.
On the ground, manicured lush green lawns attract the eye and bled excellently with the garden chairs and superstructure in eternal splendour.
This is Malwatte Farmhouse, a perfect stopover by all descriptions where a drink or a meal under these serene environs is certainly a memorable event.

The facility lies seven kilometres from Marondera Town along Mutare Road. Most motorists in smaller cars find it irresistible and turn into the facility for a perfect stopover.

The dome-shaped superstructures that gives Malwatte its unique and distinctive character and charisma, atone for nothing but unequalled comfort.
The “Cupola Buildings” made from bricks and cement only cost one third of the more conventional types. The magnificent structures have no ceilings in which creepy crawlies and rats are likely to live.

You therefore can sleep peacefully in double or single rooms. There is also a special room for honeymooners.
Malwatte Farmhouse which serves traditional and exotic cuisines has become the mainstay of hospitality in Marondera and has taken a more critical role after the closure of Marondera Hotel about two years ago.

In an effort to go “Green” all drains are channelled through a bio-gas digester where gas is collected and piped back to the kitchen for use.
Today, Malwatte, has remained the most decent place to stop over for drinks, lunch, dinner or a deserved sleep. With 25 specially designed spacious rooms, a well-stocked bar and kitchen there is everything for everyone.

Malwatte has also diversified into weddings and workshops, indoor and outdoor meetings, taking advantage of its huge space. It has three well equipped conference rooms.

Malwatte has become the best place for accommodation, weddings, drinking and eating out. If you are dreaming of an elegant and picturesque wedding, then you might be justified not to look further than Malwatte.

Being off road and “off the radar” Malwatte’s Sports Bar is a place to unwind and forget. One of the most outstanding features of Malwatte, is the Craft Shop and Hand Weaver’s Gallery.

There, beautiful leather clothes, hand dyed fabric, hand woven rugs, clay pots make it an ideal stop off point for ethnic shopping needs. Malwatte is the spectacle for Marondera.
