Officer Commanding CID Law and Order Division Detective Assistant Commissioner Crispen Makedenge yesterday approached the Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order against his ex-girlfriend, whom he said was in the habit of visiting his home and work place to verbally abuse him.
Asst Comm Makedenge sired a child with Memory Musango in 2013.

In his application, Asst Comm Makedenge stated Musango was in the habit of verbally insulting him, demanding maintenance for the child.

“Since the birth of the minor, I have never had peace with the respondent,” read part of his application.

“She has always been visiting my place of residence and my workplace at any time demanding maintenance of the minor child, in the process she has been using vulgar and despicable words towards myself and has been threatening me with unspecified action.”

Asst Comm Makedenge wanted Musango barred from visiting his home and work place which is at Harare Central Police Station because she was causing violence and disturbing his peace.

He stated that he never lived together with Musango despite having a child with her.

Musango did not turn up at the courts. Harare Civil Court magistrate Ms Barbra Masinire granted the protection order in default in favour of Asst Comm Makedenge, which barred Musango from verbally or physically abusing him.

Ms Masinire said she could not bar Musango from visiting Harare Central Police Station since it is a public place.
