Former member of boy band, Major Playaz, Chyllur is done playing nice and has released a single “Til I’m done” that disses former band-members Richard and Thomas Marufu for “stabbing him in the back”.

The song comes as a surprise as Chyllur, real name Benson Chihava has in the past maintained there was no bad blood with the brothers with whom he attained regional success with years ago.

In fact, the musician who recently launched his solo career chose to brush off the subject saying they split because the duo were pursuing their studies in their Australia base.

He, however, bares his heart in the new single because he is tired of covering for his former friends.

“I’m tired of being asked the silly question of what happened to the group. I sacrificed so much for the group and at one time I sold my car and my possessions to finance our trip to South Africa.

“We spent two months in a hotel there trying to score recording deals,” said Chyllur.

The soft spoken singer said they eventually came back into the country and he hustled to get back on his feet —not knowing his friends were planning to betray him.

He said he got the shock of his life when he found the two guys gone from the house they stayed in.

He said the brothers had sold the band’s furniture and other possessions they had acquired as a group.

“I found out days later that they had moved to Australia and had planned the trip weeks before but did not bother to tell me.

“We have been talking all these years but they never explained themselves to me. They still act like nothing happened,” said Chyllur.

A decade on, Chyllur’s voice is still out of the world.

“Til I’m done” is proof to this, and while his song is mellow, he spits nothing but venom towards the “haters”.

“I’m not airing our dirty laundry but simply cleaning up my closet.

“We will probably won’t talk after this song but if they are man enough, they will apologise for what they did,” he said.

The project carries another one of his singles “Horror”. Could more “horror” be what to expect from the musician?
