HERENTALS striker Blessing Majarira and William Kapamba dominated the annual Herentals awards ceremony when they scooped two accolades each at a function held on Saturday. Majarira was crowned the Player’s Player and Outstanding Player of the Year while Kapamba walked away with the most loyal and most hardworking player awards. Club director Innocent ‘’IB9’’ Benza was the runner-up.

Majarira said he was happy for getting recognition and thanked his teammates.

“I am very happy for this award, especially the Player’s Player of the Year award, it gives me confidence as it was my teammates who voted for me.

“I thank everyone as we worked as a team from the first day and so it is not all for myself but for everyone who contributed in us to get promoted,” said Majarira.

The striker, who is likely to land the Golden Boot award at the end of the season, is currently on 16 goals with five games still to be played.

Majarira won the same award last year, his second season in the ZIFA Northern Region, beating fierce competition from Golden Valley striker James Salima.
