Gospel musician Tatenda Mahachi has collaborated with South African award winning gospel musician Sifiso Ncwane on a single titled “Ndokudai Jesu” (Ngiyakuthanda uJesu).

The single will be on Mahachi’s upcoming album “Rega Kumhanya” that is set to be released in March.

Mahachi said he was happy to work with an international artiste and that he was looking forward to a number of international collaborations.

“This is my first international collaboration but locally I once worked with Prudence Katomeni on my hit song ‘Ndivhumbamirei’ which proved to be the people’s favourite,” he said.

He said the song “Ndinoda Jesu” is in both Zulu and Shona.

“I am excited and optimistic at the same time that the song is likely to be a hit here in Zimbabwe and also in South Africa. I hope it will touch many hearts and bring souls to God which is the main purpose,” he said.

He said they were working on a video for the song that will be released by February.

“We want to give our fans a full package so the video is on its way,” he said.

Mahachi was appointed brand ambassador of Care at the Core of Humanity (CATCH), a private voluntary organisation ventured into music in 2007 when he released his first album titled “Miyedzo”, which was followed by “Kure” in 2010 and “Agare”, which was released last year.

He is currently riding high with his latest single “Endai Naizvozvo”.

Ncwane who is based in Durban, is one of South Africa’s most prolific gospel musicians.

He was named the Best Male Gospel artist for 2010 at the prestigious Crown Gospel Music Awards.

He is popularly known by his songs “Kulungile Baba” and “When Jesus Say Yes.”
