Thousands of people from all walks of life, including some from regional countries, last night thronged the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance Ministries Third All-Night Turn Around Prayer meeting in Waterfalls, Harare last night.

More than 200 000 people had been billed to attend the church service, but by the time of going to Press the figures had not been collated.

People started arriving at the venue of the all-night prayer meeting, the Blue Shade opposite Zindoga shops, as early as 3pm for the event that was expected to start at 8pm.

There was traffic jam on the road leading to the venue, forcing travellers to look for alternative routes.

Police officers battled to control traffic near the venue on the busy Simon Mazorodze Road as they were overwhelmed by both vehicular and human traffic.

Before Prophet Magaya took to the stage, several musicians including Tocky Vibes, Yadah Voices, Mathias Mhere and Sabastian Magacha entertained the congregants with gospel music.

To maintain order at the venue, PHD Ministries enlisted the services of more than 120 police officers and 500 security marshals from the church.

The PHD founder and Prophet Walter Magaya later took to the stage to preach and perform the healing and deliverance of people.

Prophet Magaya on Thursday implored Zimbabweans to remain united under the leadership of President Mugabe.

He said there was no better leader than President Mugabe who he described as “God-given.”
