Zimbabwe football kings Dynamos are still smarting from a 2-1 defeat to Motor Action on Wednesday at Rufaro that sent them reeling out of the Independence Trophy tournament.
DeMbare rested the majority of the players who did duty in the African Champions League first round, second leg match against Mozambican champions Liga Muculumana on Sunday.
Coach Callisto Pasuwa is expected to recall them to action for the league tie.
Rodreck Mutuma, who received a red card after scoring for Dynamos on Wednesday, is eligible for the league game and could partner the in-form striker Takesure Chinyama. Monoz started their 2012 season with a 3-1 win over newcomers Buffaloes before sharing the spoils with another debutante side Harare City on Good Friday.
Now Monomotapa are bracing for one of their biggest matches of the season as they engage the defending champions who are a wounded lot. Machona, who formed the twin centre-back with Fidelis Mangezi in the last match, is aware of the danger posed by DeMbare.
“We are playing a big game against Dynamos but we have to treat it like any other game we have played before,” he said.
In the other league game tomorrow, Buffaloes will be seeking their first point as they face Black Mambas at Morris Depot.
On Sunday, Hwange will clash against FC Platinum in back-to-back fixture after the coal miners were yesterday dumped out of the Independence Trophy at Mandava.
