TALLAHASSEE. — Florida State University’s seniors Benjamin Lock of Zimbabwe and Marco Nunez have been selected for the 2015 Oracle/ITA Masters tennis doubles draw at Malibu in California, United States, the ITA announced last week. The pair, which finished 2015 ranked No. 20 in the country after rising as high as No. 4 in 2014, was one of eight duos in the country to be selected for the All-Star tournament. The pair finished the 2014-15 season with a 21-10 record and an entry in the NCAA Doubles Championships in late May. During the season, Lock and Nunez knocked off six ranked opponents and paced the Seminoles with a 14-7 mark on Court 1 during the dual match season. Among the participants that Lock and Nunez took down in 2015 are Luca Corinteli and Ryan Shane of Virginia, who finished last season No. 5 in the country and were No. 2 in the ITA standings when the Noles pair beat them in the ACC Quarter-finals. Lock and Nunez also beat Alex Lawson and Billy Pecor of Notre Dame, ranked No. 9 at the time.
