One thing which suggests that Zimbabweans living abroad are growing homesick is their love to see several local artistes performing in their respective foreign bases.

Zimbabweans living in Australia are among those who love to see Zimbabwean musicians live on stage.

Recently Jah Prayzah had two successful shows in Brisbane and Melbourne.

And now promoters have called two Zim dancehall artistes Kelvin Kusikwenyu, popularly known as Killer T, and Tawanda Mumanyi aka Seh Calaz to perform in the two cities on April 4 and 5.

This is the first time both Killer T and Seh Calaz will be performing in Australia.

Show organiser Bezel Hanyani of HBK Entertainment said the people there love to see their artistes performing in the country.

“The show was arranged due to high demand of Zim dancehall music and here in Australia people are craving for these artistes.

“The two artistes were chosen as they are also popular and are followed by many in Australia,” he said.

The two artistes are expected to leave the country on April 2 for their tour.

Zimbabwean DJs, namely Clemence Matau aka DJ Dante and Harrison Bhebhe aka DJ Flex as well as two Jamaican DJs, are set to support the two artistes.

Killer T, through his manager Brian Marukutira, in an interview said the performances reflected how dancehall growing outside Zim- babwe.

“The invitation proves how dancehall music has proved to be a force to reckon with.

“It is popular in our country and abroad,” he said.

He said they were not going to use full band according to the arrangements they made with the show promoters.

“We will be using backtracks because it is expensive to use live bands.

“However, that will not stop us from giving our best to our fans down there,” he said.

Godfrey Bakasa, who is the manager for Seh Calaz, promised fireworks at the show as Calaz will churn out his popular new songs, old and new.

“This as an opportunity for us to market our talent so we are urging our fans to come in numbers,” he said.
