FC Platinum assistant coach Ralph Kawondera is confident of victory this afternoon in the ninth edition of the Zvishavane Derby at Mandava.
Shabanie coach John Phiri says money can’t buy everything and his side will give it a big fight but it’s the hosts who should start as favourites.

“Derbies are very difficult but we want to advise Shabanie Mine that we are physically and mentally prepared for the match,” said Kawondera.

“We need nothing short of victory as we need to collect maximum points.

“It is going to be my first derby match in charge and I appreciate the support from the FC Platinum family especially the way they rallied behind us when we played Chapungu.

“We are going to win the derby for them.”

The 48-year-old Kawondera was in charge last week and it’s not yet clear if Lloyd Mutasa will be around as he is in Harare for the CAF A Licence course.

Raphael Muduviwa is back from injury and that is a huge boost for FC Platinum.
