KELVIN Kaindu says they expect a big game when he leads his side How Mine into battle with resurgent Harare giants Dynamos in a Premiership match at Barbourfields tomorrow.

The Zambian expatriate coach, who admitted his team has not performed well this season, yesterday said he is wary of the threat posed by their fancied opponents who are coming on the back of five straight wins.

How Mine on their part have not won a match in their last seven outings. Despite the experience in their side, they last tasted victory exactly two months ago when they beat CAPS United 2-1 at Luveve.

But after getting a point away to Harare City in their last match, Kaindu wants his charges to forget about their poor run and aim for the big win against Dynamos to boost confidence ahead of the mid-season break.

“I’m not really satisfied with the way we have fared so far. I think we have struggled with our game and the implementation of the philosophy. So it hasn’t been that good, but hopefully in the second half of the season we should improve,” said Kaindu.

How Mine drew 0-0 with Harare City at the weekend and slipped to 11th place on the log standings with 15 points from 13 starts.

With such experienced players as Kuda Musharu, Qadr Amini, Toto Banda, Thembani Masuku, Charles Sibanda, Godfrey Nguwodzawo and Pasca Manhanga, it appears Dynamos may only underrate the gold miners at their own peril.

“We are coming from a draw in our last match and obviously we would want to improve on that. But we expect a tough game against Dynamos.

“No doubt they are a big team and recently they have been winning games. They won five of their last five games and I am sure that has worked on their confidence levels as well,” said Kaindu.

The Zambian is expecting all his players to be available for selection apart from Heritein Masuhu and Nelson Tachi, who was substituted early into the game against Harare City.

Their opponents Dynamos are enjoying good run of results. Their performance may not be entirely convincing, but they have been getting the results.

They have since risen from the bottom half of the table following a poor start to within four points of the log leaders.

The Harare giants could get a big boost with the availability of midfielder Denver Mukamba who was eagerly awaiting his reverse clearance yesterday.

Mukamba returned to the Glamour Boys two weeks ago, but the delays in the issuance of his reverse clearance have stalled his participation. His manager Gibson Mahachi was still positive yesterday.

“We have been pushing for that and we have submitted all the necessary papers that needed to be submitted. Any moment from now the clearance could be out. So you can’t rule out that he could play in Bulawayo,” said Mahachi.
