NEW Black Rhinos coach Jostein Mathuthu believes his team will be highly motivated when they host defending champions Dynamos in a Premiership match at Rimuka on Sunday. Mathuthu, who was appointed last week with the task of rescuing the club from relegation following a poor start under Arthur Tutani, started with a 1-0 win away at How Mine last week.

“I won’t be looking at where Dynamos are coming from but I would want to look at where we want to go as Black Rhinos. We need to win and garner as many points as we can so that we move up the ladder.

“So we are not worried about Dynamos but we are worried about where we are going or where we are supposed to be going. We want to do the best for Rhinos come Sunday

“Any game against Dynamos is motivational on its own. We are talking of every player who wants to be seen, who wants to showcase his skills, playing against Dynamos provides the platform.

“So, I expect my boys to be motivated from the onset and I know they are going to try and give their best. I hope, with all the effort that we are putting in, we will be rewarded,” said Mathuthu.

Rhinos are currently on 12th place with 18 points and Mathuthu knows they need to do more to be safe at the end of the season.
“It’s a mammoth task. It’s not easy, remember every team wants to garner as many points as possible and if you are left behind, really you will have tough work to do.

“To play catch-up is always a difficult thing because it carries a lot of psychological barriers to overcome, which makes it a very difficult assignment.

“But I would like to believe it’s something that is achievable. Come the end of the year we should be smiling among the other teams remaining for the 2015 season,” said Mathuthu.

Dynamos will go into the match with their confidence high following a prosperous month against bitter rivals CAPS United.
DeMbare played three matches in succession against Makepekepe and would be hoping to continue with the momentum after drawing the first league encounter and then winning the NetOne OneWallet quarter-finals tie and the reverse fixture of the championship.

“Our attitude towards this game has to be right because, of late, we have been lacking when it comes to the so called lowly and bottom table teams,” said Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa.

“So we are saying to everyone at Dynamos let’s be positive in order for us to collect points.
“Probably the part of it is that we just won against CAPS United and some may be tempted to think that the next game against Rhinos will be easy.
“Remember when a team plays against Dynamos, even if they had not done well the whole season, you would think they are one of the top three in the league.”
