It’s spin time again this Sunday at Arcadia Sports Club for yet another edition of “Arcadia Easter Fun Fest” where top Harare wheel-spinners are expected to thrill their fans with their daring stunts.
The showcase starts at 11am until late with spinners among them Fat Cat, Goofa, Shannon aka Spin Kid, Warick aka Dante Rock, Russell, Leroy Green aka Kunnie.

Zimbabwe’s foremost stuntman Kunnie will be holding it down like never before, when he complements the spinners.

Added to the “Burn Outs” will be non-stop music by old skool legends Kudzie “Mr Kool” Marudza and Witness “Chuman” Matema as well as DJ Shy, a member of League of Extraordinary DJs.

The family fun day will also see children under 12 years and senior citizens attending the show for free. There will be lots of entertainment for children including jumping castles and water slides.

Those who love to braai and drink will be pleased to see barbecue and chilled drinks at food stalls that will be dotted around the spin venue.

But the afternoon will see spinners doing their thing on the tarmac like they did at the Borrowdale Racecourse. Fat Cat whose real name is Isaac Mayor is well known for his breathtaking skills at “burn outs” where he screeches tyres, and jumps in and out of the spinning car at full speed.

It has been a decade since he started out with his BMW 3 Series and Fat Cat has not lost any of the legendary nine feline lives.

He is loved by many and is seen as the doyen of car spinning, having mentored a number of youngsters in the likes of Spin Kid and Dante Rock who are expected to leave the Arcadia Sports Club in smoke on Sunday.

Fat Cat, who is one of the organisers, said the show is a must attend for those who love a combination of thrills and spills as well as braai and generally having a good time out.

“We would like to invite parents and their children to come and enjoy the show. There is going to be lots of entertainment for the children and adults alike.

“It will be a great day for a family outing because children under 12 and the senior citizens will attend the show for free,” he said.

Security is also tight he added., no doubt adrenaline junkies will experience some goose bumps at the “Burn Outs”.
