The stage has been set for Star FM’s Big Hangout scheduled for tonight at Old Hararians Sports Club where top DJs clash.

The must-attend DJ festival promises fireworks and thrills when top turntable stars go head-to-head on the decks.

Action starts at 6pm with DJs on rotation until the early hours of Saturday morning.

One the line up are some of the sought-after radio and club DJs who are at the top of the game.

From R‘n’B, hip-hop, house to rhumba and Afro as well as anything in-between, it will be all happening at Old Hararians.

Besides music, revellers get to hangout, braai and drink from the several food stalls and bars dotted around the venue.

Representing Star FM’s will be Otis ‘The Flow’ Fraser, Godfather Templeman, Garry B, Gibson as well as the duo of Ash Styles and Nivek.

Among the emcees for the night include Tariro and Iyati, who are the Breeze hostesses, Grace Chikaya, Richard ‘R Kay’ Kohola, Layan Soldier, Nikki and Napster.

Not to be missed is the formidable duo of KVG and Pathisani ‘Masugar’ Sibanda, Godfrey ‘Chief’ Kotie, Howard Musonza, Steve Vickers, Spencer Banda, Ephraim ‘ET’ Tagu, Tilda Moyo, Zaza Ndlovu and Yvonne Mangunda as well as Ndumiso Dube, the Skywalker.

Harare’s top female DJ Naida, will be sharing the decks with the male counterparts in what appears to be a battle of the DJs.

Added on the list are DJs Rax, Ray Dizz, Ben aka the Rhumba Network, Bhaffly, P Styles, T Bass, Rimo, Mos Deezy, Stavo, Vee and last but not least — Icytat.

Unlike other events, the Star FM Big Hangout will match international standards complete with a big stage, exhilarating lighting and a powerful PA system just the way music lovers like it.

There will also be drinks and braai galore, something that sets the Big Hangout apart.

Gates open at 6pm until 3am with a VIP section for those who want to spend big and hangout without pushing or shoving.

Piwayi Dzuda, Star FM’s deputy general manager urged music fans and listeners to come in their numbers and enjoy the vibe.

He said the Star FM Big Hangout was similar in concept to other international hangout festivals where there is a zero tolerance policy for all illegal activities such as drug use and underage drinking.
