It will be a clash of dance stars tonight at City Sports Bar where female dancers that include Beverly Sibanda, Zoey, Lady Storm, Wasu and Sarah Dee will perform.

The mid-week party will be steered by Talking Guitars that will back the dancers with their music.

The dancers will also have a singing contest in addition to showcasing their footwork and body flexibility. All the dancers have performed at the event before and they know how to excite their fans at City Sports Bar.

Bev is known for leaving male fans drooling with her acts that have made her one of the most sought-after dancers of her genre. She has made the venue one of her favourite hunting grounds and has made headlines for her performances at the place.

She will come face-to-face with all-time rival, Zoey who has been in the industry for a long time. Because of their cat-and-mouse relationship, the two have previously traded insults and accusations, but they say they are currently in good books. Bev’s manager Hapaz Mapimhidze said they will have a surprise act with Zoey.

“They are in good books at the moment and they have actually promised to do a surprise act together. It happens in the industry that people may fail to understand each other over certain issues, but we are doing everything for the good of our fans and the industry,” said Mapimhidze.

Joining them would be Lady Storm who is popular for her role as Eriza in Jah Prayzah’s song with the same title. Lady Storm is also good on stage and has performed at various venues where she left lasting impressions. She will be out to prove that there is more about her art than what she exhibits as Eriza. Wasu and Sarah Dee will make the contest hotter with their skills.

Wasu is known for her sungura paces while Sarah Dee has attracted attention from followers of the genre since she returned from a break early this year. She is currently performing songs from her new album and also showcasing new dance skills that have made her choreography fantastic.

City Sports Bar manager Mathias Bangure said the show will be a mid-week party for revellers.

“This will be a mid-week party. These dancers usually have shows over weekends and we are bringing them together on one stage on a Wednesday got give people something to enjoy after they sign off from their workplaces. We are inviting people to come and enjoy this party,” said Bangure.
