Don’t impose candidates, Zanu-PF provinces told PDF Print E-mail

ZANU-PF provincial executives have been urged to use participatory democracy and avoid imposing candidates.
Addressing youths at Mt Camel Secondary School in Headlands last week, Zanu-PF national secretary for administration, Cde Didymus Mutasa said if the party was serious about winning future polls, undemocratic tendencies should be eliminated.

He said these tendencies militated against the need to nurture internal party democracy.

Cde Mutasa demanded that only candidates who win free and fair primaries must represent the party.

He rebuked the Makoni District Co-ordination Committee for handpicking and imposing candidates to represent the party ahead of next year’s elections.
