Elite Model Look Zimbabwe finals are scheduled for October 27, 2012 at the Harare International Conference Centre where one model will land a life changing career on the catwalk. The programme will start at 5pm with the arrival of VIPs and the main show will be at 7pm. Janice Costa, the executive director of Elite Model Look Zimbabwe, confirmed the dates saying all was set for the finals.
Elite Model is well known for discovering the talents of Nyasha Matonhodze, a Zimbabwean based in the United Kingdom.
Her runaway success since signing up with Elite Model convinced the agency to include Zimbabwe in its annual worldwide search for supermodels of the future.
A series of regional auditions were held in May and June this year throughout Zimbabwe where some aspiring but talented models were shortlisted.
The finalists were narrowed down to 20 who are now competing at the national finals event to be held in September.
The winner will go on an all-expenses-paid trip to the 29th Elite Model Look World finals, which will run from October 13-23 in China. Over 90 finalists from more than 70 countries will take part.
The top three winners of Elite Model Look World Final Contest will sign contracts worth 300 000 euros awarded by Elite Model Management. Many of the other contestants will go on to sign with the global Elite Model Management network
Elite Model Look was launched in 1983 by Elite Model Management of Paris.
As the premier source for discovering fresh new faces each year, with over 350 000 contestants in more than 70 countries, it is considered to be the world’s most prestigious and influential modelling contest.
The contest helped launch the careers of some of the most famous names and faces in fashion and entertainment including Gisèlle Bündchen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Tyra Banks, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Diane Kruger, Naomi Campbell and Stephanie Seymour.
