HARARE Mayoress Mrs Fikile Ma-sunda has urged women and youths to participate in income generating projects. Speaking after touring the home industries hall at the Harare Agricultural Show last Friday, Mrs Masunda said she was impressed by exhibitions by women. “I am impressed by the women’s efforts and the quality of the products. I feel women are working hard and we need to keep supporting them,” she said.
Mrs Masunda said women, some single mothers and widows, were fending for their families through baking, interior decoration and catering.
She stressed that women required support in marketing their artifacts for them to realise meaningful profits. She said  women needed exposure and the agriculture show presented such an opportunity.
