BEATRICE Primary School will this Saturday host a fund-raising show that will feature some of Power FM’s presenters in the form of Dr Zobha, D-Train and Tendai “The Sweet Thang” Chakanyuka. The show is expected to bring together parents and children from Beatrice and surrounding areas for the family fun day show starting at midday.
Organisers have said this could be the biggest event at the school before schools close, hence the decision to rope in the three leading DJs.
It is also going to be the first time that families in the area will watch the three top wheel spinners live in action as they normally only hear their voices on radio.
Despite its rural setting, the small farming town will come alive as parents, children as well as teachers get up close with the prominent personalities for a worthy cause.
“We are urging people to come in their numbers to witness their best DJs live in action.
“We are also happy that Mr Joseph Macheka has donated a beast for the occasion,” said Victor “Godfather” Chiraga, the organiser.
Dr Zobha is expected to leave many in stitches with his sometimes ribald sense of humour.
The masked DJ remains an enigma to many, who always look forward to his performance.
D-Train, on the other hand, is a veteran of both old and new skool gems while “The Sweet Thang” is gifted with a velvet voice that seduces listeners whenever she goes behind the microphone.
