A HARARE man reportedly stripped his sister naked in a dispute over their late parents’ house 27 years after their death.

Murambiwa Murara brought her older sister Michelle to the Harare civil court seeking a protection order.
He told the court his sister was disrespectful and shouts at him telling him that he did not sire the child he is keeping.
“She ill-treats my son and always sends him late to school. One day she sent the boy to buy bread when it was time for school and when he came back she also ordered him to take his bed outside. When I asked her why she was delaying my child to school she started shouting at me telling me that I was not the father of the child,” he said.

Table turned when Michelle told the court that the misunderstanding between the two was centred on their late parents’ house.
“I decided to stay with him at the house because he was failing to pay bills after the death of our parents in 1985.

“He even constructed structures at the house which he is renting out and pocketing the proceeds. I had been taking care of his son and he is now in form one but still bed wetting. “On the day he is saying I delayed his son, he beat me up until my blouse was torn and I was left naked,” she said.

Magistrate Mr Milton Serima advised Murambiwa and Michael to register the estate of their late parents before he granted a reciprocal peace order.
